Who are we?

In the 35 years since Vertaalbureau Bothof first opened its doors, it has grown steadily into what it is today: a professional translation agency with twenty permanent staff.

The translators at Vertaalbureau Bothof all have university or advanced professional qualifications and come from a number of different countries. They all translate into their mother tongue from various source languages. Some are also sworn translators. For the most part, however, client contact with the agency is through our translation and account managers, who usually have a language background and act as the link between client and translator.

From our centrally situated office in Nijmegen (route description) we translate from and into all languages. In addition to our in-house team, we also use an extensive network of freelance translators. These worldwide contacts enable us to take on major projects, even when deadlines are tight.

Since 1999, Vertaalbureau Bothof has been part of the WCS Group, an organisation made up of large translation agencies in the Netherlands and elsewhere. This new relationship has only served to strengthen Vertaalbureau Bothof’s translation capacity.
